An apostille is an official certificate that makes a U.S. document valid for use in another country. It confirms that the signature, seal, or stamp on your document is real and issued by a recognized authority.
When another country asks for an apostille, they are asking for proof that your U.S. document is legitimate so it can be accepted for use there.
