Is online notarization legal?
Yes. Remote Online Notarization (RON) is legally recognized in the United States. As a commissioned Remote Online Notary, I perform notarizations in compliance with all applicable legal and security requirements.
Yes. Clients can attend their appointment from anywhere in the world as long as they have a device with a camera and microphone and a reliable internet connection. The entire notarization is completed online, so there is no need to travel or meet in person.
Can I use your services if I live outside the United States?
​​All clients must verify their identity before the notarization session begins. You will choose your verification method when booking.
You can choose between:

Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) – personal security questions based on your records

Biometrics – photo ID and face scan (recommended for international clients or those without U.S. records)
How is my identity verified for online notarization?
Can you notarize documents for use outside the United States?
Yes. Many documents notarized online can be used internationally, depending on the requirements of the receiving country or organization. If your document will be used abroad, you should confirm whether additional steps, such as an Apostille or authentication, are required.
Do you offer notary services for immigration documents?
Yes. I provide notarization for many commonly used immigration-related documents, including affidavits, sworn statements, support letters, and other forms that require notarization. Please note that I do not provide legal advice or prepare immigration forms, but I can notarize documents once they are complete.
Do you provide Apostille services?
Yes. Crutch Notary Services offers full Apostille and Authentication facilitation for documents being used outside the United States. This includes document review, preparation of required forms, coordination with the appropriate government office(s), and fully trackable shipping.

What forms of ID are accepted?
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required for all signers.
Commonly accepted forms include:

The ID must be current, clearly visible, and match the signer’s name provided at booking.
How do I upload my document?
Documents are uploaded securely through the BlueNotary platform either before your session or during your live appointment.
If uploaded in advance, the session may move faster since the document can be reviewed and prepared beforehand.
Most appointments are completed within 10–20 minutes, depending on the number of documents and signers.
How long does an appointment take?
Can multiple people join the same appointment?
Yes. If your document requires more than one signer, each person may join from their own device and location. Sessions with more than one signer require a Multi-Signer Coordination add-on.

Is this process secure?
Yes. Appointments are conducted using secure, compliant platforms designed specifically for online notarization.
Identity verification, session recording, and document handling follow strict standards to protect your personal information and ensure the integrity of the notarization.
Is my session recorded?
Yes. Online notarization sessions are recorded as part of the legal and security requirements for Remote Online Notarization. Recordings are stored securely.
Can you notarize documents written in another language?
Yes. Documents can be notarized even if they are written in another language, as long as you (the signer) understand the document and are able to communicate clearly during the session. I do not translate or interpret document content.
If language support is needed, professional interpreter services can be arranged in advance as a premium service.
How do I prepare my documents before my appointment?
Make sure your document is fully completed before your session, except for any signature fields, which must be signed during the notarization. Review your document carefully to confirm that all names, dates, and required information are filled in.

Do you offer same day or urgent appointments?
What types of documents can be notarized online?
Most documents that can be notarized in person can also be notarized online.
Yes. Same-day appointments may be available depending on availability. Appointments are typically booked at least 8 hours in advance, but if you have an urgent need, you may contact me to request an exception. I will do my best to accommodate when possible.
Do I need to print anything?
In most cases, no.
After your appointment, you will receive a notarized PDF that can be emailed or uploaded to the receiving organization.
​If a printed copy is required, you may print the completed notarized document.
What if my document requires a witness?
You may bring your own witness for an additional administrative fee, or you may request a professional witness provided by Crutch Notary Services as a premium add-on.

What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is collected securely at the time of booking using a credit or debit card.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
All appointment policies are clearly displayed during the booking process in Calendly before confirmation. By booking an appointment, clients agree to the policies shown at scheduling.
How do I book an appointment?
Visit the Services page, choose the service you need, and click the button for that service. You’ll be taken directly to the scheduling page to complete your booking.
Do I need to be in New York to use your service?
No. You do not need to be physically located in New York.
Clients can join their appointment from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. The notarization is performed under New York notary authority.
What if I’ve never used an online notary before?
That’s completely fine. Many clients are first-time users. You’ll be guided through the process and everything is explained clearly before your session begins.
